Pull up time…

It’s Thursday. I feel like Thursday doesn’t get the attention it deserves. Everyone makes a big deal about Wednesday being “Hump day” and then Friday is, well, Friday. Thursday sits in that nether region…a disappointment after Wednesday, not as exciting as Friday. Personally, I really like Thursday. One reason is I get to row. I know what most of you are thinking. REALLY? You like that? You CHOOSE to do that? Yes, I do. I have actually grown to love it. It has become like meditation for me. I can put my headphones on and just row. My brain goes elsewhere while my body is busy. By Thursday, I really need that. I find that when I am finished, my thoughts are more clear, I am energized and things don’t look so bad. So, if you find you are having trouble with focus, feeling down or trying to solve a problem… do that thing that distracts your brain and put your body on auto-pilot – run, row, swim, ride. For me, that thing is rowing and I can’t wait for Thursday.
